CORPORATE IDENTITY LE PETIT PALÜ HOSTELS
DESCRIPTION
LE PETIT PALÜ: A DREAM COME TRUE IN THE HEART OF MADRID
At Brandesign, we are proud to present a case of success in the brand identity design: LE PETIT PALÜ (MY LITTLE DREAM) A COLLECTION OF BOUTIQUE HOSTELS IN MADRID THAT HAS MANAGED TO CAPTIVATE ITS GUESTS WITH ITS MINIMALIST AND LUXURIOUS APPROACH. OUR CHALLENGE WAS TO CREATE A BRAND IMAGE THAT WOULD CONVEY PEACE AND VALUE, WHILE REFLECTING THE COMFORT AND CHARM OF THESE EXCLUSIVE ACCOMMODATIONS.
Inspired by the beauty of mandalas and the magic of dreamcatchers, we immersed ourselves in a deep creative process to capture the essence of Le Petit Palü. We wanted to convey the feeling of being immersed in a dream, where tranquillity and luxury intertwine in perfect harmony. To achieve this, we used soft, flowing lines that evoked calm and balance, and carefully selected a palette of warm, sophisticated colours that invited relaxation.
BRIEF
CHALLENGES
Roberto asked us for a very minimalist brand, rich in details and with a lot of harmony to accompany a name that means “my little dream”.
The challenge was to create a luxury brand, in the tourism sector, but that made sense with the interior design of his rooms. A brand that evokes comfort, and at the same time is very decorative, as it was going to rely heavily on an icon that would be present on napkins, keys and common spaces.
SOLUTIONS
After four rounds of brainstorming with the client and our team of illustrators and creatives, we found a similarity in 3 axes of communication:
In the “Catchdreamer” objects or the “Dreamcatchers”
In the architecture of the building itself
In the Guajira culture that originated the word “Palü”.
There was something in common between these 3 elements: a system of spirals and patterns that marked four quadrants: North, South, East and West, which like the corridors connecting the rooms, from a zenithal view of the plan of the hostel, one could appreciate this rosette or compass pointing in these directions.
We illustrated (and had fun in the process) of creating fibonacci-inspired fractals where these three axes of communication coexist: sleep (and comfort), the orientation and distribution of the hotel rooms and the typical fabrics of the Guajira culture.
A DIGITAL FACE
In addition to the logo we had to provide the development of a website so that users could make their reservations online, and that this website breathes this new concept created, so we provided the website with all the colours tobacco, black, white and gold.
“The Art of exceeding expectations” was the claim resulting from a study of sowing an expectation on the design of the hostel located in the heart of Madrid, in Fuencarral street.
The website also has an image gallery of the rooms, online booking and a minimalist design. You can visit it at www.lepetitpalu.com
RESULTS
ARE GROWING AND SETTING UP A FIFTH HOSTEL
The acceptance of the brand, the prices, and the convenient central location have made it such a resounding success that the brand opened a second location in less than a year. The appreciation of the hotel’s value starts from the website to the delivery of the rooms, and an 8.2 rating on Booking.com indicates that we are on the right track.
